ONSIM Landline eSIM activation: smartphone showing a UK landline number with an emailed QR-code envelope above it

Activated in minutes, not days

Order online. Your eSIM activation QR code arrives by email instantly. Scan it on your phone and your UK landline number is live — typically within minutes of checkout.

No SIM card to wait for in the post. No app to download. No need to swap your existing SIM out — you can run your personal SIM and your business landline eSIM side by side on a dual-SIM phone.

How it's different to other UK eSIM products

Most UK eSIM products are travel SIMs — short-term data plans for visitors. The few business eSIMs that exist mostly give you a 07 mobile number with an app on top. ONSIM Landline eSIM gives you a real UK landline number (01/02/03/08) on the SIM itself — no app, no VoIP, no number forwarding. When someone calls your landline number, your phone rings. When you call out, the person you call sees your landline number.

Device compatibility

eSIM is supported on most modern smartphones. Simple rule per platform:

Three modern smartphones side-by-side, each showing the same UK landline number 020 7946 0123 active on the ONSIM network — your number on the device you already own

iPhone

iPhone 12 or newer. Every iPhone released since 2020, plus iPhone SE 2020+.

Samsung Galaxy

Galaxy S20 or newer across the S-series, plus Note 20 and the Z Flip and Z Fold series.

Google Pixel

Pixel 3 or newer. Every Pixel released since 2018.

For any other handset, check the supported devices page or contact support before ordering — eSIM support on the device doesn't on its own guarantee compatibility with the ONSIM network.

What you get on the £10/user/month plan

Data add-ons

If you also want mobile data on your business eSIM, choose a bundle at checkout.

PlanPrice (ex VAT)
BASE (no data)£10/user/mo
+ 2 GB£12/user/mo
+ 4 GB£14/user/mo
+ 10 GB£16/user/mo
+ 20 GB£18/user/mo

SMS caveat (worth knowing)

SMS messages are sent and received from the SIM's underlying mobile number, not the landline. UK landline numbers don't reliably support SMS across mobile networks. Voice calls always display your landline number; SMS uses the mobile number. Marketing/bulk SMS is not permitted.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about getting a UK landline number on an eSIM.

How fast is eSIM activation?

Instant — your eSIM QR code is emailed to you immediately at checkout. Scan it on your phone and your UK landline number is typically live within minutes. There's no waiting for a physical SIM to arrive in the post.

Which devices does Landline eSIM work on?

As a simple rule: iPhone 12 or newer (plus iPhone SE 2020+); Samsung Galaxy S20 or newer (plus Note 20 and the Z Flip / Z Fold series); Google Pixel 3 or newer. For any other handset, check the supported devices page before ordering — not every eSIM-capable phone is compatible.

Can I run my personal SIM and the Landline eSIM at the same time?

Yes. On any dual-SIM phone (every modern iPhone, most Samsung Galaxy and Pixel models) you can run your normal personal SIM alongside the ONSIM Landline eSIM. You don't have to swap anything out.

How does this differ from a travel eSIM?

Travel eSIMs are short-term data plans for visitors to the UK — they give you data and sometimes a 07 mobile number. ONSIM Landline eSIM is a business eSIM that gives you a real UK landline number (01/02/03/08) on the SIM itself. It's intended as a long-term business line, not a holiday SIM.

How does Landline eSIM differ from the physical Landline SIM?

Functionally identical — same product, same number types, same features, same price. The only difference is delivery: Landline eSIM is emailed instantly, the physical Landline SIM is dispatched by Royal Mail 1st class and arrives in 3-5 working days. Choose eSIM if your phone supports it and you want to be live in minutes.

Can I send SMS from my landline number on the eSIM?

SMS is sent and received from the SIM's underlying mobile number, not the landline. UK landline numbers don't reliably support SMS across mobile networks. Voice calls always display your landline number; SMS uses the mobile number that's also assigned to your SIM. Marketing/bulk SMS is not permitted.

Can I port my existing landline number to a Landline eSIM?

Yes. Porting typically completes in around 10-14 working days from receipt of the completed porting form and supporting documents. Port-in is included; port-out fee is £20+VAT. See the keep-your-landline-number guide for the full process.

What happens if my phone dies — do I lose the eSIM?

No. Your ONSIM account is tied to your number, not the device. If you replace your phone, you can re-issue the eSIM to the new device from your account portal. You don't lose your landline number.

Can I switch from eSIM to a physical SIM later (or vice versa)?

Yes. Contact support and we'll swap the delivery format on your account. Same number, same plan, same features.

What's the cost?

From £10/user/month + VAT for the base plan — unlimited UK calls and SMS, your UK landline number on the eSIM. Optional UK mobile data add-ons: 2GB +£2, 4GB +£4, 10GB +£6, 20GB +£8, 40GB +£10. Monthly rolling — cancel anytime. No setup fee for eSIM activation.
